Prof. Jayashree Sathe is a very senior scholar who has worked as General Editor in the Lexicographical project at Deccan College. It gives me emence pleasure to introduce Prof. Jayashree Sathe, former Joint Director of Deccan College and General Editor of the Sanskrit Dictionary Project in Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute. Her special interest is Vedic Literature, Samaveda, Sanskrit Literature , Astronomy, Astrology, Lexicography etc. she is a Gold Medalist, she ranked first in M.A. Sanskrit and has completed her Ph.D. on Samaveda from Pune University. She is titled Jyotisha Shastri by Maharashtra Jyotisha Parished. Dr. Jayashree Sathe has 42 years of experience in Research and guiding several Students.
