Short Profile:
Prof. Mahulikar is a Dean of Faculity in Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth Deemed University, Kerala. She has done her M.A. and P.G. Diploma in comparative Mythology. Her title for Ph.D. – ‘Vedic elements in Puranic Mantras and Rituals’. She completed her Ph.D. from Mumbai University in 1992. Dr. Gauri Mahulikar has a Gold medal for a dissertation on ‘Ancient Greek Dramas and Bharata’s Natyashartra’ from Mumbai University. Her seven books have got published, of which some are 1) ‘Vedic elements in Puranic Mantras and Rituals’ 2) Animals and Birds in Sanskrit Literature 3) New Frontiers in Sanskrit and Indic Knowledge She has participated in various State, National and International Seminars and Conference and more than 90 Research articles in English, Marathi, Sanskrit and Hindi have been published in various journals She co-ordinated a UGC funded Project on ‘Digital Preservation of Palm Leaf Manuscript’. She has delivered lectures on various topics.
